WEB DESIGN- SITE VISUALS
Website visual practice on a site a "how-to" based website. I based my design and information off Overwatch and how to play support. Overwatch is an extensive game that has many factors. So many to the point that it may be difficult for someone new to get into the game, or even focus on a specific role. There are four roles to think about; Damage which extends out to offensive and defensive, tank, and support. Supports are critical in any multiplayer game no matter the type, they help keep everyone alive and also can be a great counter to make space. The main focus is easy access to base tips and information, for it took several sources to find everything that would be useful when introducing a player to a new role or continuing to practice a role. Both this site and booklet will focus on the support role, the characters, good combos, and much more to help someone jump into the game with new knowledge, or be used as a guide to become a better support, support flex, or switching to the support role.
Websites can be opened anywhere, and usually the people looking for guides are the ones who already have a decent amount of knowledge in a specific game and want to be better. It is prioritized for the people who want to become better at the role, learning to be efficient, or even people who want to be versatile and become “flex”. Websites are fast scrolling and clicking, there are no flipping pages to get to a category. My goal is to have all the information that can be found in a booklet summarized by importance. If you are already gaming on a PC, a guide can be opened on another tab, or on a second screen. It can be easily seen and applied while playing the game, or during spare time before jumping online. I want to be able to give someone a quick 10-20 minute read between games or rounds, that will instantly guide the player towards better plays and efficiency.
