ABOUT THE PROJECT

At first, I had a rough time figuring out what cards I wanted to tackle, I had no idea what tarot cards did or what the numbers meant for each card. So I ended up finding a list with “base numbers and themes” to guide me through which ones I would use for the set. I had so many ideas planned that there was a lot going on but I slowly inched my way towards a style for each design. I started with the main card “Plague” since I knew that would be the theme for the set. Throughout the time I made significant changes to the cards, especially the back cover/card and “Wheel of Fortune.” I wanted detail, bright color, and a frame to tie the styles together.
